Everyone welcome!

from 9:30am

International Temples Day

When Venerable Geshe-la opened the first Temple for World Peace at Manjushri Centre in 1997, he expressed the wish to develop a modern Buddhist Temple in every major city of the world. To accomplish this and many other purposes, he founded the International Temples Project (ITP).

Since that time many Temples, both traditional Kadampa Temples and non-traditional city commercial spaces, have appeared throughout the world. The pictures here are of the new traditional Temple just opened in Arizona.

In Abbotsford this year we are celebrating with a pancake brunch (always a good way to celebrate anything!)

International Temples Day is on the first Saturday of November every year, but we are celebrating the following weekend because Gen Sanden is giving the empowerment of Prajnaparamita on Sat, Nov 2nd at KMC Vancouver.
