The Wisdom of Patience
Patience is a mind that is able to accept, fully and happily, whatever occurs….It is always possible to be patient; there is no situation so bad that it cannot be accepted patiently, with an open, accommodating and peaceful heart.
How to Solve Our Human Problems by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
We know from our own experience how smoothly our lives go when we are patient with the people and things around us. Patience improves our relationships, reduces our frustration and anger, and allows our loving heart to shine. We also know how the painful state of impatience can hurt others and ourselves, as we struggle with accepting situations that arise in our lives.
In this series of classes, you will come to appreciate heart-felt patience; develop an understanding of different dimensions of patience; and see how, in a very practical way, the practice of patience will benefit all aspects of your inner and outer life.

Understanding the Mind
When our mind is calm, and we are experiencing inner peace and happiness, it is our best friend. Conversely, when our mind is unhappy, frustrated, anxious, or angry, it can be our worst enemy. We all have a mind, but few of us consider the nature and power of our mind. In this series of classes, we will come to understand the nature of the mind, how it is the creator of our experiences, and how we can use our mind to benefit ourselves and countless others every day.
