Refreshing Perspectives on Life

Buddhist wisdom for modern times

Every day we experience so many problems: difficulties in our relationships, challenges at work, ill health, dissatisfaction and frustration with the circumstances of life. Buddha’s teachings offer a refreshing perspective that encourages us to look at life differently. Find real inner peace and a deep happiness from practicing these time-honoured meditations and transformative ways of thinking.

Based on the book The New Meditation Handbook by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, which is available for purchase at the class, these meditation classes are for everyone. They include two guided meditations, a practical talk on a different topic each week, and time for Q&A at the end.

Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any time. No previous experience is required.

September 8: How to wake up smiling: appreciating our precious life

September 15: Enriching our life through contemplating our death

September 22: What happens after this life: understanding reincarnation

September 29: Where to find refuge in an uncertain world

October 6: Karma: seeing cause and effect in our lives (via livestream for members)
