Help! I’m stressed, anxious, and depressed ☹️

Stress, anxiety and depression can be overwhelming, creating so many problems for us and those around us. But we can learn how to get out from under the overwhelm. Stress, anxiety, and depression all involve the mind, and Buddhist wisdom offers great insight into the mind, teaching us how to gradually disrupt these painful states that can seem so stubborn and fixed.

The meditations in these classes will help us to let go and move forward, enjoy real freedom from these obstacles to our happiness, and accomplish our deepest wishes for inner and outer peace.

These meditation classes are for everyone. They include two guided meditations, a practical talk on a different topic each week, and time for Q&A at the end.

Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any time. No previous experience is required.

February 24: Less stress, please

March 3: Peace in, anxiety out

March 10: A new way to think about depression

March 17: Not OK? That’s OK.

Inspiring Solutions for Difficult Times

This series shows us how to take life’s adversities and transform them into spiritual growth. This ability is vital since we are constantly surrounded by difficulties, like a candle flame exposed to the wind, blown first from this direction, then from that. There is no way of avoiding difficult situations, but if we can change our attitude towards them they will no longer be problems for us. Instead of allowing adversities to make us unhappy and discouraged we can use them to enhance our experience of the spiritual path, and thereby maintain a peaceful and balanced mind all the time.

March 24: The power of compassion

March 31: Immeasurable love

April 7: Learning to surf – how to ride the waves of life

April 14: Acceptance

April 21: Compassion in action
