Inspiring Solutions for Difficult Times
This series shows us how to take life’s adversities and transform them into spiritual growth. This ability is vital since we are constantly surrounded by difficulties, like a candle flame exposed to the wind, blown first from this direction, then from that. There is no way of avoiding difficult situations, but if we can change our attitude towards them they will no longer be problems for us. Instead of allowing adversities to make us unhappy and discouraged we can use them to enhance our experience of the spiritual path, and thereby maintain a peaceful and balanced mind all the time.

Practice for Peace
Sometimes we think meditation is something we do at the beginning of the day, when the time is perfect; occasionally we sit, close our eyes, and try to relax.
In Buddhism, meditation is something much deeper and more meaningful. It is a way to train our mind, not just sitting on the cushion, but throughout the whole day.
In this series, we will learn meditations we can use in the gaps of our day, while we are walking, waiting, or pausing, so that instead of drifting into distraction, we can return again and again to a peaceful and beneficial mind.
